undergraduate business major of Canadian universities

simply put, which Canadian university's undergraduate business major has the best recruitment of high quality Finance jobs such as investment banking or money manager(consider I dont speak French very well, even though I live in MOntreal)

You should probably check the respective universities websites for on campus recruitments. Most investment banking companies actively recruit from a selection of campuses worldwide, and most likely the Universities should be advertising that on their websites.

If I had to guess, I would say the ones most prestigious in Canada, especially Queens commerce, UT, McGill, and UBC.

I agree with ragingmen.

Although if I were you I wouldn't hold my breath for someone to recruit you into a high-quality high-pay job straight out of a Canadian undergraduate program.

People don't get rich quick working for someone else.

How about the Ivey business program at Western Ontario?

I think the Ivey School of Business only has graduate programs, the OP was asking for undergrad business programs.

No, Western offers a strange 2+2 undergrad program in the Richard Ivey school of business. You have to spend the first two years studying something other than business, in some other department in the university. Then at the end of your second year you can apply to do the last two years in the business program. But the only way to get in is by having good marks for your first two years... and doing so in classes of up to 1000+ students watching the prof on monitors.

The Ivey business school has been heavily marketed over the last 7 or 8 years, but I know people who have graduated from there and they really aren't doing anything special. Cubicle work for big companies pretty much, although I'm not sure how much you can expect these days coming straight out of school with nothing but a bachelors degree in business.

Actually I think the ivey business school is known more for its MBA program than its undergrad. But perhaps this is somewhat true of all business schools...?

Schulich school of Business as York U is considered one of the best in the world. Rivals Wharton at U Penn.

B407, in what way does York rival Wharton.

York itself does not rival U Penn. The Schulich school of business at York rivals Wharton at U Penn, because they're international reputation is impecable. Schulich and Wharton consistently rank at the top of business school rankings. Schulich has beat Wharton in some publications.

"York itself does not rival U Penn. The Schulich school of business at York rivals Wharton at U Penn, because they're international reputation is impecable."

More evidence?

http://www.schulich.yorku.ca/ssb-extra/ssb.nsf/AllWebDocuments/SchulichIntheRankings?OpenDocument

It is dangerous to base your judgement of international reputation by rankings. Though the Schulich school of business is ranked by many sources as the number one business school in Canada, there are equally many that would disagree, and rank Queens, or Ivey or some other Business school as number one.

In addition, the rankings you cited rank Schulich's MBA programs as one of the best in the world, and not the undergrad business program. The OP is looking for a school that has the best recruitment for coveted jobs such as IBanking, and to have a good chance, you need to be from one of the 'target schools'.

Elite business schools in the states such as Wharton, Kellog, HBS etc. have prestigious companies recruiting on campus all the time, something that can't be rivaled by Schulich.

totally concur with ragingmen.

Of course, Schulich cannot rival Wharton.

at undergrad level, I guess Locals or those without VISA issue will be some kinda of demand.
for a avg International student at a top Uni tough luck! since the dude next to U don't require any paper work for VISA. can save the company thousands of dollars worth of legal fees.

even at MBA level. Many companies will only hire you if you have your green card. Their expectation is, if you have ability you are already working in States and got your status issue worked out.

back to Canadian Uni.
so liangshengtm, which University did U try?

no i didnt try any thats why I am asking, just want an insight of my future

U must be certain that any Uni, you try will get you in.
else.... Isn't this, counting the chickens b4 they are hatched?

why not try all the famous ones when are you accepted then make the decision? since by then U will have a narrow list, unless you only intend to try only 1.

I can make inot any Canadian uni most likely so..
