Does anyone know if the standards for admission into the business school are higher than for admission into other programs/schools within the university? Is it safer to apply Arts and Sciences Undecided/Exploratory?
Think…but not 100% sure so verify this…it is slightly harder than regular admission but not by much. It isn’t a UPenn/Wharton deal obviously, but there has been a demand for Business majors the past few years, so I think they are a little stricter on that.
Good news is I believe if they don’t accept you directly into business school, you can still internally transfer or they would offer you a spot in the general school. I don’t think you would be denied from UM if you have the necessary stats, but possibly the business school depending on the #'s and year. Good luck!
