Undergraduate Creative Writing

Why don’t you check out the new, fully-accredited semester abroad program in creative writing in Israel (in English, of course)-- it combines the nurturing of students’ creative talents with the intensive exploration of the relationships among writing, personal identity, Jewish Studies and the experience of living in Israel.
We’re receiving applications now for the spring semester.

I’ll put in a plug for Susquehanna University’s creative writing program. The university offers a well-ragarded major in creative writing, and requires the submission of a portfolio from students who are looking to major in writing. The school has a good record of placing majors in some of the top graduate programs in creative writing in the country. If finances are a concern you should also know that high school students with at minimum 3.5 GPA and a 1350 SAT score (CR and Math) are eligible to compete for the full-tuition Founders Scholarship. If distance from home is or becomes a concern, Susquehana is within a 3 1/2 hour drive of most communities in New Jersey. Definitely worth checking out.
