undergraduate degree - a mystery! please help

hey everyone, I plan to become a dentist through Upenn graduate school (My goal).

however, I'm simply wondering, what the heck am I supposed to do for undergraduate study? I've heard many answers, such as "anything you want", "something in biology" anything your interested in" and "something not related to science, because you'll do that in graduate school."

so does anyone know what undergraduate degree a future dentist (or doctor, same situation) should achieve?

thanks

(sorry doesn't really relate to UPenn that much, didn't know where to put this thread.)

Isn’t there like that 7 year bio-dental program?

yes there is, I’ve heard of the lehigh 7 year.

but what if I’m not in a dental program, what would I study?

shameless self bump

when you go to university, get yourself a pre-dental advisor…most schools have them.

they’ll help you out. no one here is an expert.

I’m not sure about dentistry but I know for future med students, many major in science-related fields such as engineering or just regular chemistry, bio, etc. I don’t know if this is the same for dental school but med school requires certain classes or certain classes should be taken to prepare for MCATs and usually if you focus in science during your undergrad years, you’ll qualify for the next step.
