I recently applied to UCF, USF, FSU, UF, and UM and have so far been accepted by UM and UCF. I'm not sure which school to attend since I haven't visited any campuses yet because right now I'm out of state, and don't know which one is the best in Business. I am currently majoring in Economics but plan to double major in another area of business. I'm also into the greek scene and plan to pledge once I get in and would like to know which school has a strong greek system. Finally I'd like to go to a school where I would get the real college feel and where on campus parting isn't strictly enforced by cops.

In addition, Florida and FSU are requiring me to have 60 credits before I can attend their schools so I would have to take at least one summer class at USF, UCF, or a communty college.

HELP!!!

well nothing we can do realli… if tat is wat they require then u should meet their requirement

wow…way to apply to like all the schools in FL! hahaha. UM’s really good for business and is moving up in the rankings, but if you’re looking for a more typical college feel, UF sounds like more your thing. I’ve heard that greek life is big there, and that there’s alot of partying that goes on ON campus. At UM (from what I’ve heard) alot of partying is done OFF campus at coconut grove, south beach, etc. For me, UM’s a better fit, but I guess it depends on what you’re looking for.

The other schools aren’t bad, but in my opinion, UM and UF are the best in FL out of the ones you listed. They are also higher ranked than the others you listed.

But based on what you’ve said, UF sounds like more your thing, even if you do have to earn 60 credits before going there.

Do you have a preference for private vs. state schools? Are finances a concern? If finances are not a concern and you like a lot of diversity then UM would be a good choice. They have a very good business school and greek is pretty popular. What size school are you looking for? UF, USF and UCF are huge. Do you care if you are near the beach? What part of Florida you’re in? There is a lot to think about. It’s a good idea to visit and see which school feels right.

according to FSU, their website states you can transfer with 12 credits.

As for UM and UCF. Well, UCF is known as “U Can’t Fail.” However, I know lots of people who have gotten into great grad schools out of there and everyone enjoys there time. I am from Miami and would say to go with UM. It is well known and is an excellent school. The Greek system is starting to be revived again there. I myself am trying to get into FSU now, as UF definitely will only take juniors.

Idk FSU told me I have to have 60, probably b/c of my bad HS grades. Anyone know which of those schools has the best economics program? Also, I would prefer a school thats clsoe to the beach but that doesnt really matter since there all in Florida. I still havent heard from UF or FSU but I think those are my top 2 with Umiami following close. Only thing is for Miami i dont like to spend alot of money and ive gotten some financial aid but its still costs alot compared to what FSU and UF would probably be even with out of state tuition.
