Hey all,

I just wanted to get some suggestions on undergrad schools with strong econ major.

I have around 3.95 weighted , 3.7 nw gpa
and 2020 sat
650 reading, 700 Math and 670 writing.

I was thinking about nyu cas and cmu h&ss

any suggestion?

University of Michigan-Ann Arbor
University of Rochester
University of Wisconsin-Madison

@ hkkxp

I would also consider Northwestern Univ. It has a very strong economics program.

I'll second Rochester. I actually just read a really intriguing article about their program the other day. I'll see if I can find it...

A few other top choices:
Berkeley
NYU
Cornell
Johns Hopkins
Rice
UCLA

chicago....obviously......

Carnegie Mellon? what do people think about that?

If you intend to go into business (as most econ majors seem to do), Northeastern would be a good low fit. Beyond that, look at your in-state schools. Also, the University of Minnesota is very good in econ.

thx all to who gave suggestions :)
Any more schools about nyu CAs level ?

Northwestern and jhu seem kinda hard for me to get in

Syracuse (a bit lower than NYU), Boston University, Boston College, Tufts

that ten year old ranking is terribly inaccurate today, and i'd say very inaccurate for its time as well.

^how about this one? ;)
Rankings: All Economics

^
Sam,

Tsk, tsk, tsk...that's graduate .
I'm not complaining though.

yea...there's no such thing as undergrad ranking; at leasts it beats what i can put out. ;)
