Undergraduate Major Question

Hey
I'm going to be a sophomore at Northwestern University this upcoming fall and I'm currently deciding on a major, double major actually. Here's what I have planned for my future so far... haha
1.Northwestern Undergrad double majoring in Communication Studies and Economics
2.Don't really need to worry about getting recruited after school, I'm in NROTC and I'll be serving in US Navy for about 4-5 years as an officer after NU. 2 years or so as Surface Warfare then planning on becoming an Intelligence officer
3.Apply to top-notch Business schools, looking into HBS, Stanford and Kellogg so far for consulting
4.Go into McKinsey or the likes

My question is, do you think communication studies and economics are good undergrad majors to prep me for this kind of career? In a sense, I'm kind of triple majoring because NROTC requires 18 quarter unit courses alone. I really wanted to go into NU engineering school and do computer science, but engineering isn't my #1 strength and they require a ton more courses than other majors.
My other options are
1)Double Major: Econ and Statistics
2)Econ by itself and do Honors Program and possibly BA/MA program if I do well enough
3)Double Major: Econ and Political Science
4)Double Major: Econ and International Studies
5)Econ Major and French Minor

What do you guys think?

Any of those combinations would be fine. One of my buddies graduated from a top public with a degree in Economics, spent 5 years as a commissioned officer in the Marine Corps (pulling multiple deployments to Iraq), and is now at Kellogg. I have other friends at Chicago GSB, HBS, and Stanford with similar career tracks (two from NU and one from UNC Chapel Hill undergrad).
For now, focus on your grades (especially those quant classes such as stats, calc, and microecon) and when you hit the fleet, do the best job you can taking care of your sailors.

Thanks. I'd really appreciate a lot of feedback on this thread since I'm going to advising soon. And especially if you know about any of these dept at NU well, feel free to pitch in.

buuuuuuuuump

should i do my business major degree in Stony Brook or University at Buffalo?
