Does anyone have any first or secondhand experience with FSU's physics department? I visited and it seemed great, thought I'm wondering if the "sales pitch" is any different from the real thing. Any info would be great.

Thank you!

Second-hand info - daughter and family members took the undergraduate physics with calculus series required of virtually all science majors.

Physics at FSU is a strength. It is likely the best physics department in Florida. Winning the [National High Magnetic Field Laboratory away from MIT](http://www.magnet.fsu.edu/about/history.html) and others is one indication of the enthusiasm FSU has for physics.

Cumulative NSF monies awarded to date:
FSU - $746,770,862.00
UF - $570,487,430.00
USF - $142,210,331.00
