Hi, My son is a senior in high school and involved in some heavy duty original research. Several scientists & industry reps he's discussed this with have told him it is great stuff, and he'll be submitting to the big science competitions. We saw on the website that the molecular biology department allows high school students to visit, meet faculty and other students. Has anyone on CC done that? His primary concern is to find a college that will allow him to continue his research.

Haven't done that personally, but the faculty here is very welcoming so I'm sure you can find a professor who would be happy to meet with your son. As long as he finds an advisor to take him on, it's very likely that he can continue his research in college.

Thanks, boysenberry. Are you a student there? If so, what has your experience been like?

I am -- a senior! how fast the time flies -- and my experience has been phenomenal. I am absolutely satisfied with the education I am getting, but beyond that I have made some amazing lifelong friends and I just generally find Princeton to be a fun place.
