Undergraduate Research Grants/Funding

Hi,

Anyone know of any grants (from HHMI, NIH, etc) that a non-minority, non-disadvantaged, undergraduate can apply for to fund their research?

thanks

The Goldwater comes to mind. Circumnavigators as well.

Goldwater? Then curmudgeon’s D should be an expert on this :)

When I visited the web site of DS’s (future) lab, I noticed that grants from HHMI, NIH are mentioned. I believe most of these grants are for these PIs; the grant proposals are written by the most experienced members (usually post-doc) in PI’s lab.

I was once told that a part of the training in a PhD program is to write the proposal for getting grants, and many PhD students need to go through this stage, with the help from the PI when they are still not very experienced.
