Undergraduate Science degree with MBA

Hi everyone not sure if this is in the right place and this has probably been discussed before but…

I am really interested in science but not really in a specific area and I am also business minded. I plan to pursue an undergraduate BS degree in maybe biochemistry or something like that but can’t see myself getting a Ph.D. or MS in any of these fields.

What I am wondering, is if I decide to is getting an MBA after a bachelor degree in science a good idea? I think I would enjoy and excel in a more administrative or management role somewhere in the healthcare field or some sort of biotech company where I could enjoy working in a field I am interested in without spending most of my days in a lab doing projects and such.

If anyone has knowledge about this or knows about the careers opportunities or employability of this combo of degrees please let me know! Thanks!

For a top MBA program you would need at least 2 years full time work experience after receiving your bachelor’s degree. that will give you a chance to evaluate your options.

You should be able to get a job right after college with a STEM degree. If you are looking to get an MBA, that should probably come sometime after you’ve had 2 years of experience. I’m in an MBA program now, and work experience has been vastly helpful!
