Undergraduate Teaching? UC Berkeley tied for 6th?

I am just curious whether UC Berkeley students agree that UC Berkeley has the 6th best undergraduate teaching in the nation? I was under the impression from snooping around the UC Berkeley forum for a while that most people say that they dont have the best teachers. This year rankings now confuse the hell out of me.

discuss please. Does Berkeley really have great undergraduate professors as the rankings say? or is this another case were the rankings are crap?

Seems like a dumb way to ranking teaching - why not ask students themselves directly? Instead of asking people who aren’t exactly in the classrooms themselves.

Of course, because we’re not getting all A’s like other private schools, asking students directly will technically hurt us. Even though everybody knows grade inflation is a bad thing, I think we “only” get overall 22nd place because we have too many unhappy people in the campus.

Shame.

^ Because getting Bs and Cs makes us Berkeley students HARDCORE amirite???
YEAAA We’re prepared to deal with the HARD KNOCK LIFE when we graduate because we get lower grades!!!

it is indeed the hard knock life, but don’t you think it’s definitely the right way? what the heck is the point when so many people get A’s?
