So I applied to Penn ED and I'm from Oregon. I was wondering if Oregon is an underrepresented state. Thanks.

It’s somewhat of an underrepresented state. It’s not severely under-represented (e.g., Alaska, Montana), but it certainly isn’t over-represented (e.g., the tri-state region).

For Penn admissions statistics, see: [Penn Admissions: Incoming Class Profile](http://www.admissionsug.upenn.edu/profile/)

Thanks for the reply.

Anyone know anything about California? I know about 200 from California end up attending Penn (though more are accepted). Is there a pretty big difference between the acceptance rates in certain areas, just because the applicants are from particular states?

^Though penn claims they dont do geographic based selection, that statement is false b/c they use regional adcoms. So 200 from Cali means ,compared to other states, CA is overrep’ed. Admissions rate may be slightly lower, but then again u nvr know
