Unexpected USC Rejection

<p>USC was my first choice school and I was very shocked to receive my rejection letter. The next day when I went to school and found out that other people got in, I was even more shocked. What went wrong? Should I appeal?</p>

<p>You are a very well-qualified candidate, but USC received over 38,000 applications this year, most of them from very well-qualified candidates, so some amazing applicants were not accepted.
