(UNF) Florida State Financial Aid Questions

So I am attending UNF if I do not get accepted into UCF (deferred until I submit my semester grades in January), and I had a few questions about financial aid.

In case I do end up needing to go there for school, I wanted to make sure I had all of my financial aid applications filled out so they could make my package (FAFSA, etc).

On their financial aid website for UNF it said all Florida State students should complete the FFAA, so I did. I make my student account and filled out that application, but I researched after doing that and found it was for bright futures which I am not eligible for.

Should I worry about the FFAA since I’m not getting bright futures or should I watch it and look out for anything on the website that might affect me?

Is it bad to take of this stuff if I’m not even sure I’m going there yet?

I feel like I have no clue what I’m doing or that I’ll miss a deadline for something or mess something up completely for me.

Any advice and help would be greatly appreciated (I feel confident in what the financial aid steps are for UCF, it’s UNF I haven’t spent months researching and figuring out)

Did you complete the FAFSA? UNF will base most of its aid decisions off FAFSA. Call the UNF financial aid office and ask what you should do.

Yeah, I did the FAFSA already, also I discussed it with them so I know what to do now haha, thanks!

FFAA is primarily the app for Bright Futures but can also qualify you for other in state grants and funding. The app isn’t challenging but could potentially yield some sort of aid, so why not do it?

You need to see what the priority funding deadlines are for the schools and make sure all pieces are turned in prior
To that date.
