“I have a right to sympathize with those deserving kids whose spot was given to someone less deserving.”

Ok have does one go about saying who deserves something more? I’m so glad you don’t work at Admissions since you seem to have such a black and white way of looking at things. Besides, I’m sure kids with better stats got into better schools.

I’m not normally the one attacking people but your comments really hit close to home for me since I was that kid last year with literally the same stats, if not a little lower and I’m not ashamed to say so (although I did have good ECs). I’ll even go as far to say that UF was not even my first choice. Does that bother you? Does that make me less deserving since I’m not UF obsessed.

Original Poster - go to UF with big aspirations and do all you can to be successful to show people like FloridaDad why you got in. Trust me, I’ve seen people with “higher stats” or who were “more deserving” literally throw away their education away and party hard and lose all control. Don’t end up like these people and prove this guy’s point.

Congratulations and welcome to the Gator Nation! Looking forward to seeing you around campus! Best of luck to you in the future!
