During the AP Lang exam this year, the proctors were whispering directly behind me for over 10 minutes, and so I was extremely distracted for a big part of the multiple choice, and read the same sentence over and over again and ended up having to put c for a whole passage on the multiple choice. So,I ended up not being able to basically do half of the mc under good testing conditions. They whispered again directly behind me for another 15 minutes during the essays but I think I did a good job in tuning them out and ended up with decent essays. I knew that I must’ve done terrible on the test because of poor testing conditions, so both my teacher and my mom complained to the testing site. I got my scores back and found out that I got a 3 on the exam (my lowest score ever) which I am extremely disappointed about, especially considering throughout the year I got 8s on multiple essays (my teacher isn’t an easy grader either) and got practice multiple choice scores that should’ve got me into the mid-5 range. I’m just wondering if this ever happened to anybody else, or if there’s anything I could do at this point other than not send that score to colleges. Also, would anybody recommend getting my test restored? I thought I wrote essays that were good enough to at least get a 4, but I’m not sure if that would make any of a difference. Thanks!
Unfortunately, the best time to report this complaint would have been as soon as you got home from the test. Not sure if you can file a complaint now.
