Unfortunate Circumstances

<p>At the risk of sounding whiny, I won’t go into details, but my family suffered quite an ordeal the end of my sophomore year and my entire junior year. And it’s not over yet. This doesn’t go along the lines of “my boyfriend broke up with me, and now I am acting out!” And it’s not a “I’m a druggie turned born-again Christian” situation either. I wonder if Georgetown would serious, extraneous factors that affected my grades. Should I send a letter explaining? My SAT, ECs, and talent and ability, etc is in accordance with Georgetown’s requirements, but it’s my GPA that suffered a bit.</p>
