unhappy and confused- please help!

Hi all, i am currently a sophomore at Colgate, and im seriously thinking about applying to transfer. Im not happy here, as i have yet to find a group of friends that makes me happy. I am constantly missing my friends from home and ive began to realize 'Gate probably isnt gonna get any better for me. Im a pre-med undeclared biology major with a GPA around 3.1, but with a very good high school record.
One of the reasons ive been hesitant to transfer is im worried i cant get into a school with as good of an academic reputation as colgate, and i really would like to go to medschool and the reputation of the school i graduate from seems rather important.
Can anyone recommend anywhere that i should consider applying?? Im a very active girl who likes to be on the move, i love sports and i am also a pretty big partier. My only requirement is really that i refuse to go to a warm place, as i love winter.
Please give me some hints!
Thanks!

As a jr transfer, your college record will count much more than what you did in HS.

The general consensus on the PreMed Topics forum (from current Med school students, current applicants and physicians) is that gpa and MCAT scores are the most important factors in Med school admissions. The reputation of the school in general is not a big factor, and when it is, it’s only the for the very top schools:

Do a Search for ‘prestige’ on the PreMed forum and you’ll find much more of the same.
