Hello! I am a senior who got an offer to study at the University of St Andrews for International Relations and Comparative Literature. I live in Los Angeles, and I unfortunately will not be able to visit campus before I make my decision. I would love to hear about the student experience at St. Andrews from people who lived in the United States. Thank you!

paging @VickiSoCal, who has a 2nd year chem student there…
biggest things from students I know: it is a very very small world- it really suits some, others not so much. In winter it is DARK from about 4pm pm to about 9 am. Some people really struggle with that. The fun traditions, robes, etc. are great, but they are a relatively small part of the experience: don’t be seduced by it! Read your course description really, really carefully. Be prepared to be pretty independent.
