Unified Auditions

For those of you who have done these, how many auditions would you consider reasonable before one is burned out? My understanding is you sign up for an audition time when you send in your school application - then I guess you deal with conflicting assigned times as needed?

I'd be interested in your experience and advice.

There have been a good number of threads written about unifieds. You might also check out the musical theater thread - their comments may help.
My son just returned from BU's summer program and we are now talking about how unifieds work. It sounds complex. We plan to apply to a lot of programs across the country, so we expect to go to different locations in what looks like it will be hell week - some programs do not interview in NYC.

Briansteffy, I am sure a lot of us would love to hear more about your son's experiences with the summer acting program at BU. Was it a worthwhile experience? Did it solidify his college plans?

Will the list of universities on the unifieds web site increase over the months, or are these the only programs attending unifieds? Numerous programs, on their websites, list multiple cities (sites have not been updated for 2008) where they conduct auditions, but they are not on the unifieds list.
