There were some bathrooms in the public areas where kids could change. But no special area set aside for changing when we went 2 years ago.

Kids changed in the bathrooms at Palmer- wasn’t there a great story last year where the kid’s dance stuff fell off the back of the toilet and got all wet? (might not have been at unifieds)

Rider? If I remember correctly?

Yeah, the bathroom clothes in the toilet incident was Rider. @MTMajorCook’s son.

Raises hand! It was my S, I can still see the horrified look on his face. And it was at Rider, he wears his Rider shorts that saved the day often.

I still use that story when my D assures me that just ONE leotard & tights is enough for the ONE dance call. She then runs upstairs and packs a backup.

The stereotype of the “parent/sherpa” was remarkably accurate for “our” audition process (her auditions, my time as a pack mule) But I figured we would never regret being over prepared!

I took an “emergency bag” to every audition, with extra clothes, headshots, music, a player FOR music, batteries etc. We never needed it, but I liked knowing it was there

So my D received an email today with info. To sign up for Carnigie Mellon unifieds in LA and they were already closed!! Anyone else have that problem?

Ugg apparently she never received the first email from Carnegie with her application ID and instructions now everything is booked
Sucks

The Chicago ones are gone as well… a friend is also frustrated about this.

These threads were very helpful IRT the CMU process and the ability to sign up for auditions with a Common App number. However, for D she was still unable to access the audition registration until we called CMU to have this corrected. By then even our first choice on campus audition date was filled.

We had the same problem also…never got the email with the ID number. If you log into the common app, you can get the ID number on there. Also, only dates that were available were on campus in February; however, check every morning. I was able to get one in Chicago…but had to check a couple of mornings in a row to get it.

Anyone know if TSU takes walk-ons in Chicago? We missed the deadline… <insert donkey="" emoticon="" here="">. </insert>

They took a limited number last year - you will want to sign up EARLY - and I’m not sure how that works with the dance call. You may want to call TSU and ask.

Thx. Is their Dance Call a separate day or something?

Yes - Sunday evening.

kategrizz, do you recall if a walk-in audition for TSU was considered a “pre-screen”, and if cleared, a visit to TSU was necessary for the final audition?

I do not - we did not walk-in, so other than knowing that they did see walk-ins, I don’t know a lot else about how TSU handled the walk-in process. I suggest a call to TSU to confirm details if you plan to walk-in in Chicago.

Can you “plan” a walk in?

my d is planning to do at least 2 walk ins. It will all depend on her energy level, scheduling, etc. But she is planning to do them.
