Unifieds in Southern California

I have been unable to find out a listing of what schools participate in the Unifieds in Southern California. Their website was not particularly helpful and I'm hoping someone can direct me to a listing of schools. Also, how does one sign up?

You sign up with each individual school. You will need to have an application on file with them before the unifieds. When you actually go to the unifieds, there will be some schools that will allow walk in auditions, without an application on file., and without an appointment.
The list that is on the website should give you the basics. There are some schools that will also be there that do no actually participate in the unified auditions, but are there the same week. Last year at LA, NYU was one of those, and they auditioned during the week following the weekend of the unifieds.
To find out if a particular school will be in LA, you need to contact them individually. Most list the dates on their website. Most will give you an appointed time, or a window of time to be available, like between the hours of 9-12. My D had several of those window of time ones, and she had to go back and forth between them. It does work, and it is stressful.

Thank you so much for the info. This whole process is stressful... and my D is just a Junior this year. I can't imagine what it's going to be like next year.
(Why or why couldn't she just want to study English?!?)

lol...Everyone knows there are no jobs out there for english majors!

(Yes, this is tongue in cheek, for those of you who would like to jump down my throat!)

Blacknwhite54- Don't stress about it right now. Just make sure she is doing what she needs to do to keep her grades up, and continues to study all three aspects of MT. If she is weaker in one discipline than the others, put extra emphasis on that one.
You are ahead of the game already, having found this site. It will probably take you well over a month to read everything here. It is the best resource for parents and students about majoring in MT, so it is worth it. If you have not already done so, read the FAQ link, as well as the thread entitled "For those new to the Musical Theatre Forum".

Keep asking questions, and keep reading posts about all sorts of programs. You will know more about admissions to MT programs by the end of next year than many guidance counselors.
