When Union College asks that we complete the additional essay if we want to be considered for the four-year program, does that mean the essay needs to be done only if we want to be considered for the undergraduate school on the off chance that we fail to get into AMC? Or, is that essay required for all applicants to the Union/AMC 8-year program?

I thought you got into Brown ED, PLME. You should not be completing anymore apps.

I don't feel like explaining my situation. Just answer the question.

wait no, for real, i read that you got into plme ed as well. what's up man

getasnowjob, for union, they are saying just to do the essay for regular undergraduate admission for just a regular 4 year bachelor's...right now you've passed the first round (i guess) and so your only considered for that special program and if you don't pass the final interview/cut then you will not recieve a regular admission spot for Union College

people don't get on his back...he may have a financial or family situation that he doesnt feel like explaining, which could technically void an ED agreement

Thanks for the info, matrix. So, does getting the application forwarded to AMC means that I'm going to get an interview or does that mean that they will now consider me for an interview by looking at my Union application and/or requesting I fill out a supplemental one?

It means they'll consider you for one.

We weren't getting on his/her back. We were just curious. There was absolutely no need to get an attitude when you're asking for help. He/She simply could have said it in more polite terms and we wouldn't have bothered..

yea it seems that albany will send u the supplemental app within a week or two and then give you an interview date, it looks like union just wanted to give you the news earlier, in case you wanted to apply to the regular college

"You should not be completing anymore apps"
"wait no, for real, i read that you got into plme ed as well. what's up man"

^^seems like you guys are getting on his case

incorrect
aspen asked once and then left it alone

collegelyfe4me apparently did not read getasnowjob's 2nd post b4 posting

Aspen didnt ask anything...he told getasnowjob to stop completing more apps

"He/She simply could have said it in more polite terms and we wouldn't have bothered.."...does getasnowjob have to explain everything he does

jeez, I feel like I'm talking with 1st-graders

Alright guys, it's not that big a deal. I understand the curiosity, let's just leave it that. No more bickering, alright? =D

Given that I just received an AMC supplement and am not interested in attending only Union undergraduate, to whom would I send my mid-year report to?

ahhhhh i got an interview!! i'm gonna pee my pants, i heard these acc.med interviews were curaaazy. have you guys gotten notice/heard abt how the interviews are for union/amc??

Any idea how long the turn around is for AMC to respond with a interview/no interview notification after the supplement is submitted?

hey if i got the supplement does that pretty much mean i have an interview? or do they still weed people out after they read the supplements?

@mentos: they're still gonna weed out people

I received my interview notification via email.
I was pretty pleased.
I tried to look up some stats online, but I could not find any.
Anyone know any significant stats on the interviewed vs accepted students, or the number of students generally in the program.
Best of luck to all.

no idea... but when is ur interview? mine is this friday!

Mine is in mid march.
