Union College in NY - Engineering?

<p>Anyone have an opinion on Union College for mechanical engineering? Union is a small liberal arts college with a lot of tradition located in Schenectady, NY. My son was offered a very generous FA package. He has also been admitted in a few more engineering colleges including RIT, Clarkson and SUNY Binghamton. Still waiting to hear back from SUNY Buffalo and University of Rochester, he was wait listed from RPI.</p>

<p>I worry about future job prospects from going to Union vs more "hard core" engineering colleges such as RIT.</p>

<p>Did anyone else go to a smaller engineering college? How did that work out?</p>

<p>it seems to me that a lot of the prestigious engineering schools out there in the US have Union College alumni on their faculty. Don't take this as a fact but that's just been one of my observations as I visit colleges</p>
