Can anyone out there tell me what they've heard about the engineering program at Union, specifically Computer Engineering? I've heard that many small schools that offer engineering usually aren't good because they lack the funds that larger universities have. Is thi true for Union? Thanks.

You need to visit here...you will be very impressed as we were. The housing is just phenomenal! Lots of $$ from alumni...go to their website (union.edu) and look up about their engineering......it is a very old program...and I say that in a good way.
Civil Eng yr/1936
Comp Eng yr/1998
Elec Eng yr/1936
Mech Eng yr/1957
Check out their Converging Technologies programs too.(Brand new)

go to the ABET site here: (it's an accreditation site for Engineering)

and look up anything you need

Thanks rubyred. Do you know if Union has good internships and co-op opportunities?

I go to Union. Usually, students don't do internships during the year. But we have long winter breaks and summer breaks in which students do internships. The career center gives a lot of help finding interships. We also have very good alumni who also help students find work.

Union ranks 23rd on the 2006 US News Report for Engineering schools whose highest degree is a bachelor's or master's.

i was wondering if anyone attending union can tell me about the social aspect of the college/student body: popular majors? hot spots? things to do? diversity(if any) of students?
thanx
