union vs. lehigh

My daughter is transferring and is unsure of where to go - some of the schools she got inot are Lafayette, Union and Lehigh. She is looking for a school with nice kids, easy transition as a transfer, not too grueling academically (not studying engineering though). Last college experience was not so great - not a very welcoming student body and all social activities were off campus...

any thoughts?

I have a friend at Union and he really likes it. He’s graduating this year and starting law school in the fall. I know that’s not terribly helpful, but I thought I would throw that out there anyways.

Thanks - any thoughts help

I have only seen Union, but when I visited I loved the campus. It was gorgeous, very clean and well-kept and I felt very welcomed by the admissions office (perhaps it was just good marketing). I visited during the summer so not too many students around, but my tour guide was enthusiastic (again, marketing?) and seemed to love it. I sort of knew I wouldn’t be applying (didn’t really have the major I was looking for) but was in the area so decided to visit anyway. For a test-run, I asked to interview while I was there and they accommodated me immediately.

Just my two cents, but I liked Union. The only people I know who go to Lehigh don’t really like it (mostly for social reasons).
