My friend has an 1800 sat (roughly 600 on all 3, +-10 here or there), and is in the top 10% of his class. TOEFL 105
Hes indian, so CGPA was 8.8 in 10th grade
75% ish in 11th.
expecting around 85-90% in 12th

As for extra curriculars, hes the youngest person in the world to climb mount everest.
Just google him I dont think we can give names out.
He has a few other EC's but I dont think anything else in the world is comparable to that.

Any chance for ivies/top tier schools?

Ehhhhh I mean that’ll make a nice college essay but I doubt it’s something that will get him into a high tier school unless he’s also a track star or something. His stats just aren’t up there for the highly competitive international pool. Even though it seems like his other ECs pale in comparison, they really don’t. You can’t ride on one baller accomplishment when most applicants have 3 or 4 leadership positions and national awards.

Sorry I was too lazy to type it out properly. Maybe this will give a clearer idea? Hes well above average but were all doubting the ivy league/top tier potential even though his accomplishments are badass.

1800 SAT ( 610 M, 580CR 610 W)
TOEFL 105

CGPA 8.8 (10th grade)
75% 11th
85% 12th

Recommendations: My teachers want to adopt him, go figure.

Essays: Again, go figure. Probably has the best material to write on. He writes well, its not like hes stupid.

EC’s (apart from the world record and national honor and awards and TV fame bit)
Varsity Basketball
Model UN
NCC (Cadet Corps)
Math and science clubs, made a few projects.

I know this is a really weird chance thread but still, I need to know the general opinion because this will be kind of a dilemma for the adcoms too im pretty sure. Hes a smart kid but not a genius
