Unique mattress size?

D received a mailing from some service stating that OSU’s mattress sizes were unique and that standard twin sheets would not fit the mattresses. D talked to some of her friends who said they received that same mailing for their universities, and that the sheets were of terrible quality.

Are OSU’s mattress sizes really that unique? I thought I read somewhere about them being a twin extra long.

The mattresses are a twin extra-long, but almost all retailers who sell sheets will sell them in that size during the summer. They run maybe $15 for a set from target or walmart if you want basic cotton sheets.

There are Extra-Long Twin bed sheet sets that are much more comfortable than the ones sold through the residence hall. They come in 820 and 1500 thread counts, 2 pillow cases, a flat sheet, and a fitted sheet (12 colors). You have to feel them to believe them.
