Unique problem transfering to Berkeley

Hey all, now that the application is up for the UC's, I'm kind of in a pickle as to what to do.

Last year, I did a year of preparatory school at a University to gain entrance to the US Naval Academy. I earned 36 (2 semesters of 18 credits) credits totaling a 3.9 GPA

Well, I'm at the Naval Academy right now and I want to get the hell out of here. But the problem is, some courses that I took last year, I am repeating again (such as Calculus II and Chemistry I) because this place does not accept transfer units.

So because I'm taking some repeat courses, I'm going to fall short of the minimum 60 for transferring to the UC's.

I'm not quite sure what to do.

I can either

a) take online courses from another community college to boost my credits
b) apply for sophomore admission
c) apply for exception?

Most likely I will be short 13 credits, unless I take 3-4 online courses and try to meet the minimums.

What exactly is the criteria for sophomore admission?

Thanks,

I didn’t quite comprehend your choices. If you do choice a, that means you will be doing b. If you do b, that means you must do a. However, c implies that you won’t do a nor b.

UC’s don’t make any exceptions when it comes to the 60 semester hour requirement. If I were you, I’d take 4-5 easy online courses to boost your credits. But I’m not you, so it’s up to you to decide what is best for you. You you you you.

I’d say try and make it to the 60 unit requirement. Transferring in as an exception or sophomore is difficult. When I went Calso, out of the 400-500 some odd people in the room, only one student was a sophomore transfer.
