<p>I think you are a really strong applicant because of your grades! 4.0 UW is really good. I think you might want to retake the ACT and take the SAT. Your ECs may not be the best in the world, but they’re fine. Being valedictorian is really impressive! While I think Penn, Columbia, and Cornell are reaches (they’re reaches for everyone, though), you have a decent shot at UChicago and UC Berkeley. I think you’re a match at BU, Emory, and Carnegie Mellon. But if you retake the ACT and try to score 34+,take the SAT with a goal of over 2100, continue to volunteer, keep up your (stellar!) grades, and focus on writing great essays, you have more than a decent shot at most of your colleges. Good luck! And don’t feel bad for “no ECs”…colleges ALWAYS look at academic stats first!</p>
