Ok so I am wanting to transfer, well need to pretty much, from my current school b/c of a medical issue. Its a mil. academy and I cant finish there anymore.

So my question is.....i got into the academy, went there for a year, and needed to leave. While there i was going through a lot of medical issues which unfortunetly affected alot, including my grades. I was never on academic probation though. I know getting into the academy says alot, but i am not sure if they will overlook my medical issue, which was pretty serious, dealing on a daily basis and traveling to a hospital out of state several times. I went to a good high school, good sat score, lots of volunteer work, and was an elite athlete all during high school then went to the academy.

Will the schools take that issue into consideration? I wrote fairly strong essays, and had interviews where they offered. Should I call the schools to mabye explain it more. I wrote a letter explaining it briefly.

My gpa was around a 2.3 on a 4.0 scale...very low I know...but with my issue ontop of the rigors of the academy would they take that into consideration or blow right past it. O and the medical issue is no longer an issue after intesive surgery...

I have written and spoke to the admissions office to all the schools....just wondering if anyone has insight or some sort of experience with extenuating circumstances...or is there more I can do
