Unique Transferring situation

Hi!
So I'm a very confused student, and some advice would be greatly appreciated. I graduated from high school in 2007. I graduated with both a high school diploma and an IB certification. I had a GPA of 3.6 and a SAT score of 1980. I applied and got admission into Univ of Toronto, Queens University, and Univ of Bristish Columbia. I went to Univ of Toronto for a degree in biotech, but due to not studying properly and family problems, I left the program and came to India. Here I am doing a BSc in math, statistics, and economics major in the #1 ranked college in Bangalore. I expect I can get about a 70-75% average GPA. However, I want to transfer back to the US or Canada after my 2nd year. I have a few questions
~If I apply for a transfer to the universities I've gotten admitted into in 2007, is there a higher chance of me getting re-admitted?
~How important are college grades for these 4 semesters vs my high school grades?
~What can I do that will better my chances of getting into a good university?
~What are my chances of getting into the Univ of Michigan or Michigan State University?

Thanks in advance

If you are a transfer student, colleges will be looking at your college grades more so than your high school grades.

I suggest you apply as a transfer student and work hard to get the best grades possible.
In order to up your chances, start a club or an organization. Get involved with the community, and start thinking about writing your essays!

Getting re-admitted is a different story. They might not like the fact that you left their college to attend another one. If you really want to get back in, I suggest you write why you left and explain your low grades. Do not, however, make up excuses whether they’re real or made up. Take responsibility of your own mistakes.

As for U of Mich. or Mich. SU, if you’re applying for the fall of 2010 entrance, know that the graduating class of 2010 is the BIGGEST in the history of graduating classes so there is going to be a lot of competition.

Thanks a lot for your advice =]
I will be attending smith as a junior this fall
