cunningham, davidson, griffith, etc. which building is best? :P
and how do you know which floors are single sex?

As first years, you don’t get to decide. I’ve heard Davidson floor one has been all guys from time to time. You just have to select single sex if that’s what you want.
All of these buildings are similar. I’m biased, and I’ll say Ehrman is the best, because half the building faces the golden gate bridge.

i’m not a first year. lol. i’m choosing my room for next year and i need to pick a building.
so far, i’m in davidson, but i’m thinking of switching to ehrman if it means ggb. =D

To get a golden gate bridge view you almost have to live in a triple though … so be ready for that …

Go to Unit 2’s APR. The building plans for all the floors/rooms are posted so you can see which rooms are triples/doubles/handicapped and which floors are single sex.

I live in Ehrman and I have a view of a goddamn abandoned church. Floor 7 is probably the best because it has nice views and a lounge. However, our elevator breaks occasionally so you may want to take that into consideration.

Aureat: I did go, but it didn’t say which floors are single sex.

whosthat: I picked Ehrman flr 5…but if floor 7 has a better view…hmm I don’t mind taking stairs. Freakin foothill has got to be more of a hassle every day than 7 flights of stairs occasionally.

berkeley: sadly, I did get a triple. Lol. I’m trying to get the _01 or _11 rooms

AureatEagle, do you have a link to that information?

@sbcollege101 As a freshman, it won’t make a huge difference… you have no say in where your housing is, though you can give preferences about location and type of room. But within the building, nope. If you’re a continuing student, you find out about housing much earlier in the year, and there are options online which allow you to select which room (of your assigned housing type) you would like.

AureatEagle mentioned the APR, APR is All Purpose Room. In the middle of Unit 2 is a courtyard, underneath of that is a building which contains the mail room, some academic services, meeting rooms, and just general housing stuff. They usually post floorplans and other relevant information down there, or you can ask about it at the front desk. As far as I know that information isn’t posted online anywhere.
