Unit Cap Confusion [Went to 4 year + CC]

Looking at my UC TAP right now when everything is said and done I would be looking at about 85 semester units of UC-Transferable coursework after Spring 2016 (been at a CC since Spring 2014). The thing is, I spent a year at a CSU and would have at least 7 more units of UC-Transferable work from there. I’ve done some digging through the forum and can’t really find any current info on how strict the UCs are with students going over their unit cap (I know that students who only went to a CC won’t face rejection because of excess units). I’m more so worried about Berkeley/Davis in this regard and me being a student who has went to a 4 year as well as a CC I’m a bit worried of course.

I’ve already been through this: http://admission.universityofcalifornia.edu/counselors/files/uc-transfer-maximum-limitation-policy-chart.pdf

But then I wonder would I be a high-unit junior/senior because of my unit count? Or is that only applicable to those who have taken upper division coursework? I haven’t taken any upper division coursework.

I know this must have been asked so many times but as I dig through the older threads I really can’t find any current answer, I’ve seen people link old answers from Berkeley and stuff but those pages have since been deleted.

If the 85 are from a CCC, they will transfer as a total of 70.

Depending on whether the courses were lower division or upper division at the 4 year, it will be one of these:

–> If all 4 yr units are lower division, they are absorbed into the 70 unit total count. Total UC transferable: 70

–> If any are upper division from the 4 yr, they will be added to the 70 total. Worst case scenario. 77 UC transferable.

Seems the OP mentioned addressed this exact issue in the original post.
