What's the limit for someone graduating in 4 years with a major and a minor?
I checked the website, but it only talks about unit ceilings for double majors (136) and people graduating in more than 4 years (130)... thaanks :)

Also, can you not minor in economics? It’s not on the L&S list of minors, but I feel like I knew someone who did minor in it…

Those are the limits for registering - after you have eight complete semesters AND are at 130 units already, registration for a following semester is blocked unless you get it waived.

I think the only way to get into that kind of situation would be to change majors over and over again, each time picking a very different one that shared few pre-req classes.

If you graduate in eight semesters, there is NO unit limit.

I have a similar question for double majoring in L&S. Will I be granted one extra semester automatically, as stated here [Unit Ceiling](http://ls-advise.berkeley.edu/registration/unitceiling.html?)? Also, will I be subjected to the 136-unit limit right after my eighth semester or my ninth one, if I decide to pursue a double major? Thanks

I don’t think you can minor in Econ.

You cannot get an official minor in economics, but if you are interested in the subject, you can just take economics courses that you are interested in. Indeed, the Economics Department’s recommended preparation for graduate study in economics includes mostly math courses (Math 1A, 1B, 53, 54, 104, 110 and Statistics 134), with just the recommendation of “intermediate math-based economic theory courses” (presumably Economics 101A and 101B) and that “Further education in economics and economic theory is helpful, but not required.”

Thanks guys; that answered my questions.
