Unit Ceilings

You cannot get an official minor in economics, but if you are interested in the subject, you can just take economics courses that you are interested in. Indeed, the Economics Department’s recommended preparation for graduate study in economics includes mostly math courses (Math 1A, 1B, 53, 54, 104, 110 and Statistics 134), with just the recommendation of “intermediate math-based economic theory courses” (presumably Economics 101A and 101B) and that “Further education in economics and economic theory is helpful, but not required.”
