Unit limit and essay question

I have two questions,

I am applying to the UC’s as a Junior level transfer where I will have 87 semester units completed when I transfer. However, if I take two more classes and finish the IGETC then I will have 93 units. According to the UC website, a senior level transfer has 90 or more units. But I don’t want to be a senior level transfer. Can I still apply as a Junior level transfer but have the units for a senior?

My top two choices are UCLA and UCB. For UCLA I am applying as a Biochemistry major, but for UCB I am applying as a Chemical Biology major. In the personal statement where they ask what your “intended major” is, what should I put…both or just one?

If you are transfering from a two year school than you can not be considered anything higher than a junior when you transfer.

I believe if you transfer as a junior they will take 70 max
