Hey, so I'm currently attending Glendale Community College and my declared major is Math/Econ hoping to transfer to USC or UCLA. However I also want to complete my pre-med/pre-pharmacy requirements. This will hopefully all take 3 years to complete. However my question is GCC says only a maximum of 70 units are allowed to be transferred, but I will complete 70+ units before I transfer, so will I still be eligible to apply to a med/pharmacy school. My logic says that my declared major of math/econ classes will be considered as transferable, and my pre-med/pharmacy will not but I will still be able to apply to med schools etc.. Is this correct/even possible?

You need to ask each of the places you apply to about this. They are the one’s that determine which credits can transfer and as what.

You might want to reconsider doing many of your premed courses at a CC, as that can be a problem when applying. See this:

For most majors, the unit cap applies to only those units obtained at 4-year universities. You could theoretically transfer with 200 units from a CC, and be OK; you will only receive credit for 70 lower division units, however.
