I just found that out Emory is (ostensibly) affiliated with the United Methodist church.

Does this have any impact on the university...at all?

Does this have any impact on the university...at all?

In a word - no.

Many current students don't even realize we have the affilation. You don't need to take any religion courses, there's no methodist events sponsored by the administration...basically nothing showing a bias towards any single religion. And Emory is super religious diverse!

I figured.

They visited my school, and the only thing they said about religion was that it's 1/3 Jewish.

Just curious, what about atheists? A good bit around?

And to a different extent, do most Emory students tend to hold fairly conservative religious views or more secular?
