United States Senate Youth Program (USSYP)

I just found out that I got in!! I’m still in shock. This is crazy and I’m SUPER excited.

@ThatGuy1998 Did you get in???

Selected as a delegate for New York! Can’t believe it, best of luck to everyone still waiting and congratulations to those selected from other states!

@legaleagle1 How did you find out? I haven’t gotten any updates.

@ThatGuy1998 The Hearst Foundation sent me a package with the acceptance letter. Let me know if it works out!!

I was a delegate last year to the USSYP (as a junior) and I’d just like to say that this program was undeniably the best week of my life. I hope all of you selected have a great time.

My advice for maximizing your time during Washington Week is to get to know your fellow delegates, get to know your military mentor and ask questions of the speakers (when else can you ask the President or SC Justice a question on politics/law?). Congratulations to those of you accepted!

@ThatGuy1998 I’m from MD and I haven’t heard anything either

@Yappoy Who are you? What is your existence?

@ny2020 when did you find out from new york last year? I am applying and just want to know when I can expect a reply from my representatives.

I’m a sophomore from TN looking to apply next year- what certain things stood out to the panel? Is there any advice you could give me as to how I can increase my chances of getting selected?

@pineapple86 @Yappoy @FuturePOTUS @legaleagle1 I’m a sophomore from TN looking to apply next year- what certain things stood out to the panel? Is there any advice you could give me as to how I can increase my chances of getting selected?

I have my interview in Mississippi after Thanksgiving break. Does anyone know what questions are covered on the interview? And What interview day is like? Also, the email I received asked me to bring a letter of recommendation and a resume, so perhaps they’ll ask about my life? Hopefully…
