Does the amount of units you take per semester/quarter have any effect on admissions? I take 2-4 classes (10-18 units) during spring and fall semesters, and just one class during our 6-week summer and winter intersessions. I do so because I'm more concerned with understanding the material than a quick transfer. I don't work.

Depends on what School you apply to and what major.

If doing a business/econ major at top tier schools (UCB, UCLA, USC, NYU, etc.) then yeah it would. Especially if you don’t work for those majors/schools you should have some relative work experience with internships ect. But in general 2 year applicants looks more impressive than a 3 year applicant. At least in my opinion.

Actually, I don’t think it matters. I know someone who was accepted to Berkeley as an eight-year political science transfer. But you should definitely talk to admissions officers (read: not CCC counselors).
