Units

Anybody or anybody you know ever transferred with a couple units less than 60? I'm gonna be 2 units short of 60 by the end of spring, I could of course add some very easy 3 unit class to my spring schedule but since I'm taking some a heavy science load, I'd rather not risk my grades by overloading myself.

But the problem is, if I DON'T get to transfer by next fall, I pretty much have nothing left that I can actually take at my CC for my major, maybe one or two courses but that's about it. Everything else is only offered at UCs.

What are you guys' thoughts on this?

Depends what school are you applying to? what is your major?

Cal, UCLA, UCSD, UCD.

GPA: 3.93, Major: Computer Science.

I dont know about all UC's but UCI is huge on units. They will not accept someone unless they are taking less than 6 units prior to transfer (with 60 units). UCR doesnt care though, they would probably just take you in as a sophomore.

I just want to transfer. Cal ideally, because there are actually classes that I can take and move forward towards graduation, rather than stay in CC for another year and ................... take some humanities? Definitely not the best way to use the time.

For Cal UCLA UCSD you must finish min 60units by spring.... sorry
UCD you could take it during summer to complete 60units.

OK. I'm gonna have to add a humanity course to my spring schedule then since it's too late to add it now and make up all the readings for 3 weeks.

Yah! G luck! How many units you are going to have during spring? or if too much you could take a course during winter?

I was originally taking 15 so adding another 3 units is acceptable. But the winter intersession idea is a very good one I'll look into what my CC offers over the winter. 3 weeks of hellish 9-5 but for a non-science course it should be alright.

Yeah a GE classes should not be that hard!
