Hello - looking for some advice for my daughter who was wait-listed for DAAP Comm Design. She maintains a 4.0+GPA and 27 ACT score. Good variety of ECs. She wrote a thank you to to admissions and re-affirmed her commitment and desire to attend UC. They won’t be able to let her know if she’s made it off the wait list until April.
First Q - Does anyone have advice for how likely it is that she’ll secure a spot?
Alternately she could attend for a year and try to transfer in. But (Second Q) - how realistic is this? I’ve heard if she maintains great grades, this isn’t as difficult. But if she doesn’t get in, she risks wasting an entire year. This is her #1 school and #1 major.
