I'm an out-of-state senior prospective applicant, torn between my only two OOS school choices. Both seem similar in test scores, GPAs, and acceptance rates. Both schools have the programs I want, and they are good. What are some of the advantages of U of A or ASU over each other?

Here are some advantages and disadvantages about both schools, in my opinion:

Univ. of Arizona
1. better ranked in USNWR, seemingly better reputation
2. Tucson is more liberal, more college-centric than the Phoenix metro area
3. closer to Mexico
4. near several national parks, monuments (at least closer than ASU)
5. smaller size

U of A Disadvantages:
6. farther from home
7. more of a bubble city (it's just Tucson and that's it)
8. not as much entertainment in the city

ASU Advantages:
1. located in a much larger city
2. more entertainment oppurtunities in the city
3. closer to home
4. Tempe is still college-centric
5. Phoenix has several pro sports teams, Tucson has none

ASU Disadvantages:
6. party school rep
7. giant school population
8. not as highly regarded or ranked
9. more conservative area
10. Phoenix not as college-centric as Tucson

Any others?
