@Luvmykids08 I hope your son enjoyed his trip to Hartt. As a local, I apologize for the bad weather we’ve had this week.
@DramaMan did your son like his visit to Hartt? As I posted above - sorry about the unusually bad weather this week.
Any of you who get to see Man of La Mancha, let me know what you think! I am going on the 28th to see my girl!
My D made the decision to go to Hartt - Acting. Looking forward to connecting via CC with other current and incoming freshman parents. As you all know, this has been an exhausting year!
Awesome to see you here, @Rizzo2! And I agree, such a relief to be done with this stressful process!
@NewJeffCT , my S enjoyed it very much! Time to make a decision!!
There’s a Facebook group for accepted Hartt MTs and ATs! I’ve been trying to post the link, but the site doesn’t seem to be allowing it. So go on Facebook and search for “The Hartt School MT/AT Accepted Student 2022”
My daughter is enjoying one of the many benefits of the Hartt School tonight seeing Sierra Bogess perform in The Age of Innocence at the Hartford Stage - free for Hartt students. Also some talented Hartt students performing in the ensemble. What an amazing opportunity!
@sopranomtmom - we saw Midsummer Night’s Dream last year at Hartford Stage and they had some Hartt students in that production as well, and they even added in a little singing for them. Also, had a few recent Hartt grads were in a Shakespeare production at St. Joe’s College nearby last summer as well. Hartford Stage has done pretty well in recent years - the Tony winning Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder started there, and Anastasia did a few years after that.
@NewJeffCT my S did enjoy it. He could see himself at Hartt. Getting close to the end. Thank God!
Some exciting news from The Hartt School Facebook page today - senior MT Dan Macke has joined the Broadway cast of Dear Even Hansen!
Hi everyone… after a long season of college auditions, my son decided to commit to Hartt MT! We couldn’t be more thrilled. We actually auditioned on campus in December and he really liked it then. He went for a shadow visit about 3 weeks ago and after sitting in on 3 classes (masterclass, voice, acting) decided he found his new home! He loved it! He had 3 other great MT schools to consider but knew immediately he wanted to go to Hartt. Looking forward to meeting some new Hartt parents!
@mandgmom congrats to you and your S!!!
Congratulations, @mandgmom!
Looks like there are 30 kids in the Hartt 2022 MT class…(18m/12f, I think)
Oops…mixed it up…I think it’s 18f/12m…
My D says for acting, 19 have committed.
