Meal Plan (typical) $2,573</p>

<p>"Add it up, and the typical costs for a freshman at UW-Madison who is paying in-state tuition and living in campus housing will be $15,467 in 2009-10 -- a jump of $993, or 6.9 percent, from last school year".</p>

<p>"Even after these increases, UW-Madison's tuition is expected to remain the second- or third-lowest among Big Ten Conference institutions".</p>

<p>5.67% total increase. Not bad and that includes Madison Initiative fees.</p>
