Hello All!
I know this question has been asked quite a lot, but I wanted some personalized answers. So, if you wouldn’t mind, I am looking for some universities to apply to.
Class of 2016
ACT: 29 (Aiming for 30-32 next test)
GPA: 97.00
Rank: Top 40%
Graduating with 60-70 college credit hours.
I’m leaning toward Political theory and American politics. I’m not so much into comparative and public relations.
How much can your family afford?
Virtually every research university and LAC has a political science (/ government) department.
If you’re not in the top 25% of your class, then you probably should focus on public colleges in Texas that fit your qualifications and budget.
If cost isn’t a factor and you want to go out of state, then you need to say more about what you want in a college. There are so many of them. Your stats are good but so high that you can pick and choose among the tip-top PS departments (Harvard, Stanford etc.) The University of Maryland seems to have a strong PS department, is located close to the nation’s capital, and is not super selective. George Washington is another possibility in the DC area (but its sticker price is very high).
