They told me so late that I had to tell a backup US University that I was going there, then lose my deposit when HKU finally accepted me. I’m not sure if this still goes on, but if it does, it must be fixed if they want to be truly competitive. The late admissions issue is reflective of a bureaucracy which is not very customer service friendly. This is partly cultural. There are rules, and these rules are relatively rigid.”</p>
