Universities most committed to Undergraduates

Cornell's College of Arts & Sciences offers a 4,000 student body LAC inside of a major research instituion. Hence you get the intimacy of Dartmouth and Princeton but also the opportunity to do graduate level research while still and undergraduate. Many, many research opportunities (for credit no less) go unfilled each year, and they are not just in the hard sciences, but also in the social sciences and the humanites. Plus the Ithaca setting and "gorges" campus is hard to beat.

Dartmouth and Princeton...you might also want to consider honors colleges of state universities. They are geared towards stronger students with an emphasis on personal attention.

I agree with quite a few other people on this thread who said have said Dartmouth--Princeton. Some of the honors colleges are also nice (Umich, etc). Although I don't think it is quite the same if I were determined to go to a University and Dartmouth and Princeton were'nt in the cards I've heard good things about the UMich honors program.

U of Rochester (no TAs teaching), Cornell Arts and Sciences. . . . .I could speculate upon schools like Columbia and the other ives, but those are the only two I know of for sure.
